A LOCATION WITH HISTORY.
AND FUTURE.

With around 268,000 residents, the Reinickendorf district is comparable to cities such as Braunschweig or Aachen. Reinickendorf has established itself as a traditional industrial location, which was already shaped by renowned companies like Borsig around the turn of the century.

The Berlin district of Reinickendorf embodies the transition to an industrial and service-driven society in an impressive manner. Yet, it is precisely in this transformation from tradition to innovation that a remarkable development is evident, showcasing a harmonious connection between both aspects.

Even today, the district is shaped by globally active companies such as Borsig, Oracle, or Otis. Additionally, various innovative medium-sized enterprises or craft businesses are located here.

Another significant feature of Reinickendorf is the former airport, Tegel. With the final cessation of flight operations in 2020, space was created for one of the largest inner-city development areas in Europe. On an area of 495 hectares, around 1,000 companies, 20,000 employees, 5,000 students, and 10,000 housing seekers will find a new home in the future. The Tegel project will undoubtedly significantly increase the attractiveness of Berlin's northwest.
